Yesterday I headed out to Liberty State Park to check out the 2012 Vueve Clicquot Polo Classic. Pristine weather, great friends and an exciting Polo match made it the perfect day. Click below for some SHOTS:

Notes: All around a great event – well set up, easy transportation to & from, plenty of refreshments & merchandise, a solid staff, and an exciting match.
While the event seemed like more of a social gathering rather than focusing on the actual polo, it was a laid back atmosphere as the various players interacted with the crowd and announcers educated the audience on the sport. It was apparent that the event was an casual outlet to spread awareness about Polo.
It was also apparent that the star of the show was Nacho Figueras, as the BlackWatch Captain led his team to a 9-7 victory. Figueras was recently profiled on 60 Minutes and has a nice intv on the official VC Polo Classic page.
