Today I checked out Graffiti/Street art mecca 5 Pointz to both admire and learn about the art form. It’s something I definitely recommend checking out, so click below to view my recap & SHOTS:

Notes: I definitely recommend checking this out if you live in or around NYC (or you’re visiting). It’s three stops from Grand Central on the 7 train and about a two minute walk from the station stop.
Tour guide Meres One explained a bit about the legalities of running 5 Pointz, the culture of graffiti and even showed us an original piece, which he did on the spot.
Aside from checking out the pieces at 5 Pointz, I think it’s important to support the cause. There are tentative plans to demolish the graffiti haven for your standard high rises and shopping complex’s.
