Day 1 of the Made in America Festival brought people of all ages out to Philly’s Ben Franklin Pkwy for one of the best music festivals I’ve attended in recent memory. Click below for some SHOTS of the crowd:

What: Made in America Festival

Where: Philadelphia, PA

Venue: Benjamin Franklin Parkway

When: September 1, 2012

Who: N/A

Notes: Truthfully, I can’t say how many people were at the festival at its peak (I’d say around 7pm), but it was the most amount of people I’ve seen at a festival ever – including NYC’s Governors Ball, Rock the Bells, Virgin Mobile FreeFest, and more. I want to commend Made in America festival organizers for a smooth day – a lot of things could have gone wrong if they weren’t able to accommodate the crowd.

Obviously, with any festival, lines were to be expected as concert-goers packed in for the main acts. Just part of the territory…although additional drink, food, a bathroom units are always welcome next year. Also, it seemed like there were a number of people that needed medical attention for what looked like dehydration and/or fatigue. It was definitely hot out there.

No real structure to these photos. Just wanted to reach out in to the crowd to catch people interacting, walking along, or enjoying themselves. Click each thumbnail to enlarge. Make sure to link back to JDOTshots.com if you utilize any SHOTS:
